Rail Ale Trail SAT 31ST JULY (July 02, 2010)

It's time for a summer social now the good weather is here. Cough cough.

The Plan: We will leave our various local stations (Newton or Totnes for the majority of us) and make our way down to Plymouth where we will catch the Tamar Branch line trains to Gunnislake. This has been done to allow our young Plymouth based players accessibility to a social event. NO EXCUSES NOW!!!!

On arrival at Gunnislake we will have lunch in one of the village pubs and then slowly make our way back to Plymouth hopping on and off the trains stopping in various village pubs that line the river Tamar. We then aim to come back to Totnes/Newton for 9pm ish where you can join us at Miltons Pub in Totnes if you wish.

The beauty of this social event is that you can hop on the train to go home whenever you like. Complete flexibility!

A Devon Ranger Ticket costs £10 for the whole day allowing us to hop on and off any train in Devon all day plus if you have a railcard you will also get discount.

***With there potentially being a lot of us trying to catch the same train, I advise that we aim to meet 30mins before the train is due to depart to give us enough time to buy tickets because if you miss this train, you will miss the Gunnislake connection train and there is just one train to Gunnislake every 2 hours!!!***

Just like to say well done to all those who organised and helped out with the Hawaiian Night - what a shocker. Also superb effort on fancy dress and all those who came on the night and joined in brilliantly - ace folks.
I would particularly like to say well done to Milts, Kat, Smithy and Luke for their continued enthusiasm and hard work to get this off the ground. Also to those who added their bit, especially on the night, such as Alice, Vikki, Si Hall (the limbo), Jen and Claire (Luke's girlfriend). Im sure I've probably forgotten someone. Thanks again to all - great night.

Hawaiian Night (January 09, 2010)

Hello All.

It is time for the next Dart social... Following on from the idea of the legendary social "I'm a Chudleigh Player Get Me Out Of Here" the committee have decided to run a Hawaiian Night!!

Venue: The kingsbridge, Totnes
Date: 06.02.2010
Time: 19:30
Price: £5

The night will consist of Hawaiian themed games such as 'Surfing USA' and 'Surfers against Sewage' which will all be revealed on the night...It promises to be a fun-filled evening of quality darting entertainment.

The committee ask of players and players guests to turn up with an Hawaiian theme of their choice. If anybody has any Hawaiian related 'stuff' that they would like to be used for the night please could they give it to us by Saturday 30th January. This may include blow up palm trees, surf boards, pineapples, coconuts etc - you name it please bring it along.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
If you are interested in attending please give your £5 to your social captain who will pass it to me or you can give it directly to myself by SATURDAY 30TH JANUARY. Can I please stress that this deadline is a FINAL deadline as we need to know numbers and sort players into teams prior to the night.

Social Meal (November 04, 2009)

Hi All.

Another season = new socials.

The newly formed Social Committee have met and decided on a couple of socials to get us going this year. We have decided upon 4 annual socials which will be held roughly the same time each year with the odd social meal linking the larger social events.

The first meal will be held at Cafe Asia in Totnes on Saturday 5th December. A rough itinery will be to meet at the Rugby Club at 6pm. We will leave at 7.15 and arrive to be seated at Cafe Asia for 7.30. The Rugby Club meet is optional but it is a good opportunity for us to mingle a little more with the Rugby Club - if you wish to meet us at Cafe Asia for 7.30 that is fine.

As the restaurant is not huge, we need to book a table in advance. We require a £5 deposit from you by November 14th at the latest to book your place. Please hand this to your teams social rep to be passed onto Milton. Anyone and everyone is welcome (partners, parents etc) and with it being a meal there is no minimum age limit. We already have 9 people who have paid their deposits - please keep them coming.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WILL BE THE ONLY SOCIAL BEFORE CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!!!

Mens Christmas Social (October 25, 2009)

A few of the men's firsts decided that it would be good to go out on a night out in Totnes, get a Chinese and then have a few drinks around Totnes. This event is open to everyone FYI.

If you could let your social captains, Jon or Milts know if you're interested. Please can you pay £5 asap or at training to confirm your places. This needs to be done by the 14th Nov at the absolute latest.

The date we are looking at will be the 5th Dec. Times to be confirmed later.
