Tony Pryce will be coming to our training on MONDAY 13th SEPTEMBER with their demo sticks for us to try. It will cover both ladies and mens sessions.

Indoor Training (April 11, 2010)
Now everyone has had a few weeks off, starting Monday 19th April (as 12th April Ivybridge Trial) 6-7pm, Totnes Leisure Centre, Mixed Indoor Training. The price will be £3 a person and should remain constant. If we get 15 people every week it may even come down. The hall is booked from now until the 26th July with scope to extend until October. Good way to keep fit over the summer to supliment summer league and not to mention one of the best ways to improve your spacial awareness and stick skills.

ALL PLAYERS (ESPECIALLY THE MEN)! (March 23, 2010)
THE AGM IS SOON! Decisions will be made about YOUR club, that WILL affect YOU next season. (For instance, where will we play? And, we will probably only have 2 mens' teams, maybe only 1, because a) Paul, Iain and Vic will be stepping down,and you cannot have teams unless they have Captains,etc, to organise them; and b) half of you are too bone idle even to let your captains know your availability in time for matches, never mind take responsibility for anyone else.)
OR ... perhaps you enjoy what the club puts on for you enough, to maybe do some of it yourself ... perhaps you could be a Captain/Vice-Captain or Fixture Sec? (I'm sure we could help you get started!)
OR ... perhaps you have some ideas about what we are doing (wrong?)/trying to do?
Even if you can't make it to the AGM (or send a parent to represent your interests), you can still pass on your thoughts to be discussed, via your Capt/VC committee members.

MEN'S PLAYERS' MEETING - Wed 17th (February 09, 2010)
Hello boys, men and Simon Hall!

PLAYERS' MEETING - 8-9 ISH - KINGSBRIDGE INN, TOTNES - top room.
WED 17TH FEBRUARY 2010

I have been finding that since we have had a junior section and three men's teams, (with the continued added complication of no clubhouse), it has been increasingly difficult to discuss what I consiider to be 'player-based issues' with all those concerned.

I believe that we should have a players' meeting maybe up to twice a year so that we can look at aspects such as:

the development of the club as a whole

development of the men's section

issues of selection and rotation

how juniors and older players are brought into and mentored in the adult and higher teams

how more of the maturing players (such as Johnny Woodhouse!) take active roles in the club

the falling number of junior males

male coaches for junior teams

training issues etc.

I think that it would be useful for there to be an arena to air your views - constructively, if you have any.
Additionally, there is also sometimes no real arena to disseminate ('pass on' - for those of you from Newton!) information from the committee.

MEN'S COACH - YOUR VIEWS (February 09, 2010)
Duncan coached us on Monday night - 8th Feb. I need to find out your views, so please can you either give us a bell or have a chinwag sometime. Despite having to deal with you bunch of spanners, Duncan said he really enjoyed coaching again. He would be happy to continue coaching but as you could see from last night it would be an 'all in' or nothing approach. He has spoken of wanting to set goals and targets for each player and take us forward as a whole mens section as well as indivudally and as teams.
I would have to take this by the committee first as well as the other coaches obviously.

MEN'S TRAINING - NEW COACH - TRIAL (January 27, 2010)
A coach has approached us (through Chris Pascoe - ladies member) and has expressed an interest in coaching us. Yes he must be both stupid and insane! I understand that he has played at a fair level and has coached a good standard of teams - including North Notts to premier league status, Bristol and Isca.
He wants to come and take a coaching session - not next week, as that's Sue's slot but the week after - so make sure you are there for 7.45 prompt.
His name is Duncan Hadrell
So he will take mens training on Monday 8th February.

Congratulations (March 30, 2009)
Congratulations to the 2nd team for their promotion to South West 1. We all need to get behind the ladies first team now as they bid to be promoted as champions in their league. 7 points from 9 will guarantee promotion. They play at Lipson on Saturday 12.00pm push back. Lets get down there and push them on. Wouldn't it be great to have three of our teams promoted in 2 years!!!!!

MENS' 2NDS TRIUMPH! (March 29, 2009)
At last! The Mens' 2nd team, ably led from the front (but mainly middle and back!) by Paul Rose, will not only be promoted next season, but will go up as WINNERS of their division. Tan-tarra, and all that! Well done boys - an excellent blending of skills into a fine team. Top scorer Simon Garland (24 for the 2nds, in less than a full season), closely followed by Matt Quartley (22). Average league score 4.65-1.45 ->-> goal diff 64!! Be at the AGM for full detail!!!

Ex-Chudleigh members (January 24, 2008)
The Dart H.C. is looking to have a get together either at the end of April or the beginning of May for everyone who has played for Chudleigh in the past. This will be a game and social afterwards so if you know of anyone let me know,so far I have 10 people who are interested.
